I tried a couple of new recipes during the month of June. Our favorite was this one.
I’ve made steak bites before, but I had not previously prepared them in the air fryer. It turns out that this is a wonderful way to prepare them! In fact, it will be my default means of preparing them from now on. Check out these tasty, easy-to-prepare Air Fryer Steak Bites.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs. sirloin steak, cut into 1-in. cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I used avocado oil)
- 1 tablespoon McCormick Montreal Steak® Seasoning
- Prepared herb butter (purchase premade from the store or make by combining ¼ cup softened butter with ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder, ½ teaspoon thyme, and a dash of parsley flakes)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the steak pieces, oil, and steak seasoning mix. Place a portion of the steak bites into the basket of the air fryer. Be careful not to crowd them together! (Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in 2-3 batches.) Cook at 400°F for 10-12 minutes.
Toss the cooked steak bites in the herb butter before serving. Yield: 5 servings.

Notes
These were so easy to prepare and so delicious! Tossing them in the herb butter really put them over the top. In my air fryer, these steak bites were cooked thoroughly after 11 minutes of cooking. If you are uncertain if yours are done, then be sure to use a meat thermometer to check.
Steak bites are incredibly versatile. If you don’t like Montreal Steak® Seasoning, then use whatever seasoning you prefer (Italian seasoning, herb and garlic, chipotle, etc.). Likewise, you can marinate the steak before cooking it if you want a more intense flavor.
If you enjoy steak, then you’ll definitely want to give these a try! They are convenient enough to prepare for a casual weeknight dinner, but flavorful enough for a nice dinner you might serve on a special occasion. Whatever seasoning you use and whenever you choose to make them, I hope you enjoy their flavor and ease of preparation!
What new recipes have you tried recently? I’d love to hear about them!
