Autumn Snack Mix

November 19, 2018 By Shannon This post may contain affiliate links and this site uses cookies. Click here for details.

My hands have been a little full recently, so I haven’t been doing a lot of baking. However, I still want to enjoy some delicious fall flavors.

Its delicious mixture of flavors makes this snack mix a perfect fall treat for both kids and adults.

I came up with the idea for this snack mix when I was brainstorming snack ideas for my kids. They enjoyed it as much as I’d hoped! It’s not just for kids, though. Its complex mixture of flavors means it’s also an enjoyable snack for adults.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups pretzels
  • 1 ½ cups pecan halves
  • 1 ½ cups dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chocolate chunks (or chocolate chips)
  • 1 cup Caramel Bits (or coarsely chopped chewy caramel candies)

Instructions

Mix together all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Yield: 12 servings.

Notes

There’s a lot to love about this snack mix. My favorite thing is the taste. The flavors of all the ingredients go well together so you have a little sweet, a little savory, and a little salty with a pop of tartness from the cranberries. It’s easy to make (you just measure the ingredients and stir them together) and it’s comprised of pretty fall colors.

We snacked on this around the house, but it would be great for a casual fall get together, as part of a Thanksgiving dessert spread, or even to snack on during a football game. For best quality, eat within 3 days of making the mix (otherwise the pretzels start losing their crunchiness).

I hope you enjoy this delicious snack! What snacks are you enjoying this fall?
