After having visitors in and out of our home for a good part of the last month, things are finally settling down around here! This is nice because it’ll give us some time to relax before we enter the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
Our weather has finally cooled off a bit. We still have highs in the upper 80s, but that’s much better than the upper 90s! This is cool enough weather for soup, right? I think so, which is why I’m including soups and other fall favorites on our menu for October (you can see past menus here).
Days 1-7
- Chicken drumsticks, homemade macaroni and cheese, fresh veggies with ranch dip
- BBQ chicken salad
- Nachos topped with roasted veggies
- Broiled pork chops, seasoned rice, savory mashed sweet potatoes
- Chicken and noodles, side salad
- Cheese and bean quesadillas, corn
- Orange chicken over brown rice, baby carrots with ranch dip
Days 8-14
- Italian herb chicken breasts, buttered noodles, fresh veggies with ranch dip
- Cheesy sweet potato and sausage soup
- Chef salad, breadsticks
- Spaghetti with meat sauce, steamed broccoli
- Mexican rice bake, tortilla chips
- Creamy garlic meatballs over egg noodles, green beans
Days 15-21
- Cranberry BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, fresh veggies with ranch dip
- Taco salad
- Butternut squash fettuccine alfredo, side salad
- Southwest cheesy chicken sandwiches
- Creamy ground turkey and noodle casserole, green beans
- Chicken noodle soup, rolls
- Bourbon chicken over rice, steamed broccoli
Days 22-31
- Lemon pepper chicken, buttered noodles, fresh veggies with ranch dip
- Sausage and rice skillet (with broccoli)
- Bean and cheese burritos, corn
- Cheesy sausage and pepper pasta, green beans
- Spaghetti squash meatball casserole, side salad
- Pumpkin chili
- Cheeseburger macaroni, glazed carrots
- Breakfast for dinner
- Slow cooker veggie tortellini soup, breadsticks
- Chicken pot pie
