Our Hearts Are So Full!

My hands and my heart have been so full these last two weeks as we’ve been adjusting to life as a family of five!

My hands and my heart have been so full these last two weeks! My husband and I welcomed our third child, Gilana Brielle, on September 20th.

We welcomed our third child, Gilana Brielle, on September 20th. Gilana means “joy” and Brielle (a diminutive of Gabrielle) means “strength of God” or “heroine of God.” She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 19 in. long.

Her older sisters, Amaris and Nitara, are absolutely enamored with her! They want to hold her all of the time and they are quick to help mommy by choosing clothes for Gilana, singing to her when she cries, and patting her back to help her burp after she nurses.

My hands and my heart have been so full these last two weeks! My husband and I welcomed our third child, Gilana Brielle, on September 20th.

Though we had hoped for a calm, uncomplicated delivery, Gilana’s birth ended up being complicated by a number of very serious factors. I may share and reflect upon these here on the blog at some point. In the meanwhile, we’re so grateful for the glimpses of God’s grace that we saw amidst the complications and for the fact that both Gilana and I are healthy today. Praise the Lord for His peace and protection!
