We’ve had such a mild winter around here that I’m not particularly eager for spring’s arrival. Nevertheless, it’s about to begin.

Hello, spring! Here are 21 things, including planting gardens and celebrating Easter, that make the spring season marvelous.

Like each of the other seasons, there are a number of unique things about spring that make it special. I’m going to enjoy these things, even if I feel unprepared for the warmer weather.

The best things about spring

  • Seeing flowers everywhere
  • Playing outdoors in comfortable temperatures
  • Listening to birds sing
  • Engaging in spring cleaning
  • Finishing the school year
  • Seeing new life all around
  • Enjoying moderate temperatures
  • Working in the yard
  • Celebrating Easter
  • Seeing baby animals
  • Eating fresh fruit
  • Wearing sandals
  • Enjoying more sunshine
  • Seeing butterflies
  • Wearing sundresses
  • Picking strawberries
  • Watching trees bud
  • Enjoying warm breezes
  • Planting gardens
  • Listening to falling rain
  • Seeing bright colors everywhere
