Under Construction: Please Excuse the Mess

July 23, 2024 By Shannon This post may contain affiliate links and this site uses cookies. Click here for details.

I’ve been writing posts here on Of The Hearth for over a decade. So much has changed during that time! This is true in my personal life, of course, but it is also true in terms of technology and current events. For this website to remain useful to you, I need to make some updates.

In the coming months, I’ll be updating posts and the site’s main pages to ensure they are easy to navigate and contain up-to-date information.

I’ve been working on a few of these behind the scenes, but I’m about to begin doing some work that will be visible. You can think of this post as a sign alerting you to the upcoming work! The site should continue to function as it normally does and you’ll be able to access all the existing content. However, I’ll be working on numerous things. For example, I’ll be updating individual posts to make sure they contain current information and that the links still work. I’ll also be updating the main pages so they are easier to navigate.

A larger change I’ll be making is adding a bunch of homeschooling content. A big portion of my time is spent homeschooling my kids. I’ve never intended for this to be a blog about homeschooling, nor do I wish to turn it into one now. However, sometimes I create worksheets for my kids that other homeschoolers might appreciate being able to access. Likewise, others might appreciate additional things I can share like curriculum reviews, calendars, book lists, and tips. I’m unable to maintain a second website, so this content will find a place here.

Making updates to old posts is a bit of a walk down memory lane for me, so I’m looking forward to it! I’m eager to have it completed, though, so Of The Hearth is easy to navigate and contains the most up-to-date information for you. Thanks for journeying with me over the last decade and for sticking with me as we see what’s next!
