I don’t remember a whole lot about my family’s Easter celebrations when I was a kid, but one thing I do remember is that a couple of times my mom gave us Easter “baskets” that weren’t traditional baskets. Like baskets, they were containers that could hold goodies. Unlike baskets, they were multipurpose storage containers that could be used for years to come.
This was such a great idea! Instead of a basket that is limited in utility, why not give our kids “baskets” that serve practical purposes? I’ve brainstormed some fun options.

You can stuff any of these with traditional items (chocolate bunnies, jellybeans, small toys, etc.), but you can also use each as the foundation of a themed basket.

Final thoughts
My kids would love so many of these! I appreciate that each allows for the incorporation of fun and practical gifts. I’m leaning towards the pot right now because my oldest two have mentioned that they miss growing strawberries (something we haven’t done since moving to our current location).
What creative Easter baskets have you made in the past? Please share your ideas!
I love these ideas!!! We have not done individual Easter baskets for our kids-we typically do one family Easter gift (one year it was a massive box of sidewalk chalk, another year it was a marble track set, another year it was a family video game). But, I am going to keep these in mind for the future!
