Summer is currently asserting itself aggressively. We’ve had a couple weeks of triple-digit heat. If the forecast is accurate, we’re going to have to drudge through weeks of this. The bright spot for us amidst this heat last month was a visit from my parents. As usual, my girls had so much fun with them. I’m appreciative that my mom helped me clean out our garage and cut out many items for the coming school year.

Speaking of the coming school year, I’m laser focused right now on getting us ready to start school. We will start the second week of August, and I still have a few things I need to print and get organized. My kids are not thrilled, but there is always a little bit of excitement to see what new subjects we will study and what projects we will complete.
