I ended up being a lot busier last month than I thought I would be! Thankfully, there was nothing amiss. The everyday tasks were enough on their own! We are grateful that the heat has broken enough for us to be more comfortable outside, but we are still waiting for “sweater weather.” My girls had a fun time at their homeschool group’s Halloween party. I made 2 monster-themed cookie pizzas and 24 worms-in-dirt cupcakes for this. Every crumb was consumed. I didn’t try these desserts before the party, and they were gone so quickly that I didn’t get to try them there. I assume they were good, though, given how quickly the kids got them into their bellies!

We’re about to switch gears and begin planning for Thanksgiving. November is always one of my favorite months because we complete a couple of gratitude activities to help us focus on the “thanks” of Thanksgiving. We will have a loved one joining us for Thanksgiving, so I’m contemplating what to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner. We’ll continue with school this month and spend lots of time outside as the weather continues to cool. Here are the dinners we plan to eat (you can see past menus here).
